Information on the SAT Preparation, Review, Course, Class, Tutoring
SAT is often a pre-requisite for admissions to colleges and universities in US, Canada, and abroad. Admissions and Financial Aid Offices consider the SAT scores and base their decisions on a combination of factors including the individual section scores on the SAT, the number of times a student has taken the SAT test, and the improvement of the SAT scores between the SAT tests.
SAT Preparation and Review are intensive. Between SAT sessions, students are assigned supplementary SAT homework to prepare for review sessions. Students will review ten official SAT practice tests and more than 2,500 official SAT questions.
Students should plan their preparation and review before their scheduled SAT test date. Usually SAT preparation and review course spans six to eight weeks ahead of the SAT administration. We suggest that the students write the SAT once to score their best with adequate preparation and review so that they have the most competitive SAT scores and standing when they apply to graduate schools. If a second sitting is desirable, students may wish to extend their SAT exam review and preparation.
SAT students can access Official SAT Examination Information, SAT Test Registration, and download and take a full length free SAT practice test on the ETS Collegeboard SAT website. If you choose to enroll in one of our preparation classes or private tutoring review sessions, the Collegeboard free SAT practice test will serve as the diagnostic.
Official SAT exams are administered in Fall and Spring academic terms. We offer SAT preparation courses, lessons, tutoring and review any time during academic terms and summer. Accelerated SAT preparation and review lessons may be structured and delivered upon request.
Students can learn the SAT material and attain the skills necessary for success on the SAT. Prior testing history and academic background have relevance to the ultimate performance on the SAT; however, with structured review, students are able to improve their scores when they have remedied the deficiencies that may have been caused by improper academic training, misguided instruction, and ultimately, lack of knowledge and comprehension of the SAT material. After the initial diagnostic, our expert instructors are able to identify the proper course syllabus to get the SAT students ready for their test review.
SAT General Test quantitative sections will examine basic concepts in Algebra, Geometry, Numbers, Statistics and Probability. With focused SAT mathematics review, students can greatly enhance their SAT General Test quantitative score. SAT General Test Verbal sections will present questions to examine the SAT Vocabulary, Logical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension, while the SAT Writing sections will measure Analytical Writing skills in issue analysis and argument analysis. Our SAT review course provides instruction in all sections, and focuses on building on the natural skill set of an individual SAT student.
The Educational Testing Service provides official Scholastic Aptitude Test questions and priorly administered SAT tests. Elmscott & Haxeleigh SAT Preparation and Review focus on official SAT material, and prepare SAT students for the scheduled official SAT. Pertinent additional SAT assignments and review material are available to supplement the SAT Tests Review.
We offer preparation for the SAT General Test and the SAT Subject Test Preparation and Review for the following subjects:
- SAT Math Level 1
- SAT Math Level 2
- SAT Biology E/M
- SAT Chemistry
- SAT Physics
- SAT U.S. History

- SAT Literature
- SAT Spanish, Latin, Chinese, Spanish, Korean, French, Japanese, German, Italian, and Modern Hebrew.
Elmscott & Haxeleigh SAT review team offers customized SAT General and Subject Tests teaching, tutoring lessons, preparation and review for traditional students, and for non-traditional students who have learning difficulties and disabilities that require accommodated SAT testing. The pace of the SAT Review is customized to address the needs of the individual SAT student. In addition, highly competitive teachers are available to coach students who aim to score a high percentile. The SAT General Test measures skills in three sets: quantitative, verbal, and writing. SAT is a skills-based test; however, with preparation, SAT students can increase their SAT scores.
