Information on the GRE Preparation, Review, Course, Class, Tutoring

We offer preparation for the GRE General Test and the GRE Subject Test Preparation and Review for the following subjects:

- Chemistry
- Physics
- Literature in English
- Mathematics
- Psychology
- Biology
- Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology
- Computer Science.

Students should plan their preparation and review before their scheduled GRE test date. Usually GRE preparation and review course spans six to eight weeks ahead of the GRE administration. We suggest that the students write the GRE once to score their best with adequate preparation and review so that they have the most competitive GRE scores and standing when they apply to graduate schools. If a second sitting is desirable, students may wish to extend their GRE exam review and preparation.

The Educational Testing Service provides official Graduate Records Examination questions and priorly administered GRE tests. Elmscott & Haxeleigh GRE Preparation and Review focus on official GRE material, and prepare GRE students for the scheduled official GRE. Pertinent additional GRE assignments and review material are available to supplement the GRE Tests Review.

Elmscott & Haxeleigh GRE review team offers customized GRE General and Subject Tests teaching, tutoring lessons, preparation and review for traditional students, and for non-traditional students who have learning difficulties and disabilities that require accommodated GRE testing. The pace of the GRE Review is customized to address the needs of the individual GRE student. In addition, highly competitive teachers are available to coach students who want to score a high percentile. The GRE General Test measures skills in three sets: quantitative, verbal, and writing. GRE is a skills-based test; however, with preparation, GRE students can increase their GRE scores.

Official GRE exams are administered throughout the year. We offer GRE preparation courses, lessons, tutoring and review any time during academic terms and summer. Accelerated GRE preparation and review lessons may be structured and delivered upon request.

Students can learn the GRE material and attain the skills necessary for success on the GRE. Prior testing history and academic background have relevance to the ultimate performance on the GRE; however, with structured review, students are able to improve their scores when they have remedied the deficiencies that may have been caused by improper academic training, misguided instruction, and ultimately, lack of knowledge and comprehension of the GRE material. After the initial diagnostic, our expert instructors are able to identify the proper course syllabus to get the GRE students ready for their test review.

GRE is often a pre-requisite for admissions to graduate schools, Master's, Ph.D., and other doctoral programs. Admissions and Financial Aid Offices consider the GRE scores and base their decisions on a combination of factors including the individual section scores on the GRE, the number of times a student has taken the GRE test, and the improvement of the GRE scores between the GRE tests.

GRE Preparation and Review are intensive. Between GRE sessions, students are assigned supplementary GRE homework to prepare for review sessions. Students review ten official GRE practice tests and more than 2,500 official GRE questions.

GRE General Test quantitative sections will examine basic concepts in Algebra, Geometry, Numbers, Statistics and Probability. With focused GRE mathematics review, students can greatly enhance their GRE General Test quantitative score. GRE General Test Verbal sections will present questions to examine the GRE Vocabulary, Logical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension, while the GRE Writing sections will measure Analytical Writing skills in issue analysis and argument analysis. Our GRE review course provides instruction in all sections, and focuses on building on the natural skill set of an individual GRE student.

GRE students can access Official GRE Examination Information, GRE Test Registration, and download and take a full length free GRE practice test on the ETS GRE website. If you choose to enroll in one of our preparation classes or private tutoring review sessions, the ETS free GRE practice test will serve as the diagnostic.
